The Gods of Wind
In Greek Mythology, Aeolus is the son of a mortal king and an immortal nymph, who had an illustrious affair. A minor god, he was condemned to the floating island of Aeolia, home to the four winds.
As ‘Keeper of the Winds,’ Aeolus awaited the command of Zeus to wreak havoc on voyagers that had earned his ire.
In this collection, we imagine Zeus’s ire having fallen on the fossil fuel industry -- precipitating its destruction by the gods of wind.
