Maps of the World
The most famous world map is probably the Padrón Real (Royal Standard) — the secret Spanish master map of the 16th century. Revised with every new discovery, it was the template for world domination and unauthorized disclosure was punishable by death!
The maps in our collection are not as consequential, but more than compensate with their beautiful craftsmanship and artistic flourish.
You'll discover a fine Baroque world map from the Atlas Maior -- considered by many to be the greatest atlas ever published -- three exquisite maps from the late 1700s, and a world map published a century later.
Enjoy the adventure!
