Lets Take the Stairs
Every day, billions of people living in apartment buildings around the world face the classic elevator-stairs dilemma.
But in Ukraine, whose residential districts have been deliberately and relentlessly shelled by Russian artillery, working elevators are few and far between.
The pace of Russia’s strikes on civilian targets, often with imprecise Soviet-era missiles, really picked up five months into the conflict, when stockpiles of more sophisticated weapons ran low.
But Russia’s cynical attempt to compensate for its shrinking military capabilities by degrading civilian morale has not worked, and will never work.
Victory to Ukraine!
